Small and mid cap stocks perform better than their larger peers today. The Russell 2000 (+1.8%) and S&P Mid Cap 400 (+1.7%) show bigger gains than the three main indices.
The US Dollar Index dropped into negative territory, down 0.4% to 113.67.
Earlier, the weekly EIA Crude Oil Inventories showed a draw of 0.215 million barrels after last week's 1.14 million barrel build.
