[BRIEFING.COM] The Nasdaq Composite (-0.2%) slid below its prior closing level in recent trading.
Downside moves coincided with some heavily-weighted components turning lower with no specific catalysts. Broadcom (AVGO 179.26, -0.59, -0.3%) had been trading above its prior closing level a short time ago.
Many other stocks have extended their losses as well. The Invesco S&P 500 Equal Weight ETF (RSP) shows a 0.7% loss, trading at its low of the day.
