Broadcom (AVGO 217.48, +36.82, +20.4%) continues to surge after its well-received earnings report and outlook. The PHLX Semiconductor Index (SOX) shows a 2.3% gain. Some semiconductor-related shares have given up early gains, though, as the broader equity market declined.
NVIDIA (NVDA 133.32,4.04, -2.9%) had been trading up as much as 1.6%.
