[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (+0.4%) and Nasdaq Composite (+0.9%) remain near session highs while the Dow Jones Industrial Average briefly dipped below its prior close.
14 of the 30 Dow components trade lower with NVIDIA (NVDA 131.23, -3.08, -2.3%) showing the largest decline. Verizon (VZ 41.54, -0.73, -1.7%) and Chevron (CVX 151.21, -2.66, -1.7%) are also among the influential losers in the DJIA.
Honeywell (HON 234.51, +6.87, +3.0%) leads the Dow after news that it is exploring strategic alternatives for unlocking shareholder value, including a possible breakup of the industrial conglomerate by separating its Aerospace business.
