[BRIEFING.COM] The Dow Jones Industrial Average (-0.81%) is just off lows of the day, still down more than 315 points.
A look inside the DJIA shows that Home Depot (HD 336.58, -14.30, -4.08%), Dow (DOW 53.13, -1.49, -2.73%), and Walmart (WMT 67.10, -1.80, -2.61%) are underperforming.
Meanwhile, Amazon (AMZN 187.67, +2.10, +1.13%) holds solid gains.
The DJIA is now down about -1.79% quarter-to-date.
Elsewhere, U.S. Treasuries continue trading just above their lowest levels of the day, holding modest losses across all tenors. Treasuries reversed from their highs during the first hour of action while recent trade has seen a slight uptick in reaction to the just-completed $69 bln 2-yr note sale, which met solid demand. The auction priced right on the screws, drawing a high yield of 4.706%, while the bid-to-cover ratio (2.75x vs 2.66x average) and indirect takedown (65.6% vs 63.8%) were comfortably above average.
