Only three S&P 500 sectors remain in positive territory. The health care sector leads the bunch, up 0.5%. Medtronic (MDT 87.36, +2.55, +3.0%) is the best performing stock in the sector after reporting earnings followed by Eli Lilly (LLY 947.66, +25.85, +2.8%), which said tirzepatide reduced the risk of developing type 2 diabetes by 94% in adults with pre-diabetes and obesity.
The worst performing stock is energy, down 2.4%.
