Stock Market Update

[BRIEFING.COM] The major averages now sit mixed after an opening advance, with the Nasdaq Composite (+0.3%) outperforming while the S&P 500 retreats to its flatline and the DJIA (-0.2%) slips slightly lower. 

Tesla (TSLA 457.06, -2.40, -0.52%) has seen some profit-taking after being up over 3.0% in the pre-market in response to its record-breaking Q3 deliveries and deployments. 

Mega-cap names are putting up mixed performances this morning, with the Vanguard Mega Cap Growth ETF up a modest 0.3% in response. Despite the modest gain, the S&P 500 Equal Weighted Index (+0.2%) is currently outperforming the market-weighted S&P 500 (flat).
