S&P 500, Nasdaq Composite set new records on modest early advance

[BRIEFING.COM] The stock market's opening gains sent the S&P 500 (+0.1%) and Nasdaq Composite (+0.2%) to new record high levels, while the DJIA (+0.3%) currently trades above its all-time closing high.
The early action comes on mixed sector strength, with five S&P 500 sectors holding on to modest gains. The information technology sector (+0.4%) is among the sectors moving in the right direction, supported by strength across chipmaker names sending the PHLX Semiconductor Index 1.2% higher.
Fair Isaac (FICO 1950.00, +437.29, +28.91%) makes a sharp move upwards after launching a direct license program for mortgage lending.
Elsewhere, the materials sector (+0.7%) has advanced the furthest so far after closing yesterday's session with the widest loss.
Losses are modest so far today, with only the utilities sector (-0.5%) retreating more than 0.4%.
