[BRIEFING.COM] The Dow Jones Industrial Average (+0.95%) is in first place on Friday afternoon, a hair off session highs after reports came in that a large put order had been made in the options market, possibly positioning for a downside move in the market.
A look inside the DJIA shows that Caterpillar (CAT 502.54, +11.97, +2.44%), Travelers (TRV 285.97, +5.93, +2.12%), and Visa (V 352.27, +6.32, +1.83%) hold solid gains.
Meanwhile, Nike (NKE 72.87, -1.70, -2.28%) is underperforming.
The DJIA is poised to end the week +1.54% higher.
Elsewhere, at the top of the hour, Baker Hughes (BKR 48.84, +0.44, +0.91%) announced a weekly U.S. rotary rig count of 549, flat w/w and -36 yr/yr.
