Amazon surges over 10% as Dow slips 120 points; index still on track for +2% monthly gain

[BRIEFING.COM] The Dow Jones Industrial Average (-0.25%) is down about 120 points this afternoon.
A look inside the DJIA shows that Walmart (WMT 100.23, -2.00, -1.96%), Microsoft (MSFT 516.76, -9.00, -1.71%), and Caterpillar (CAT 573.46, -9.68, -1.66%) are holding decent losses.
Meanwhile, Amazon (AMZN 246.09, 23.23, +10.42%) is firmly atop the standings.
The DJIA is poised to end the month up about +2.17%.
Elsewhere, at the top of the hour, Baker Hughes (BKR 48.26, -0.32, -0.66%) announced a weekly U.S. rotary rig count of 546, -4 w/w and -39 yr/yr.
