[BRIEFING.COM] The Nasdaq Composite (+0.7%) eclipsed its record high level from Friday, while the S&P 500 (+0.4%) trades less than ten points beneath its own record high.
While still in negative territory for the day, NVIDIA (NVDA 186.91, -0.71, -0.38%) and Apple (AAPL 257.21, -0.80, -0.31%) are off of their session lows, with the improvements contributing to a widening gain in the information technology sector (+0.9%).
Elsewhere, the energy sector (+0.7%) holds a nice gain today as the price of crude oil has increased $0.89 to $61.77 per barrel, an increase of 1.5%. OPEC+ announced it will raise its output by 137,000 barrels per day in November, confirming reports from last week.
