[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (-0.1%) remains pinned just beneath its flatline, while the Nasdaq Composite (-0.7%) holds a wider loss and the DJIA (+0.7%) outperforms.

The communication services sector (-1.5%) is at the bottom of the leaderboard as the sector bears the brunt of today's mega-cap weakness.

Meanwhile, Meta Platforms (META 612.91, -14.17, -2.26%) holds a similar loss, with its share price little changed after breaking ground on its 30th data center in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, at which the company plans to invest over $1 billion.
