Major averages back at session lows, financials sector lags
Dow -226.82 at 46920.45, Nasdaq -105.92 at 22794.69, S&P -29.89 at 6704.21

[BRIEFING.COM] The major averages are back near session lows, with the S&P 500 (-0.4%) and Nasdaq Composite (-0.4%) slipping back beneath their 50-day moving averages. 

The information technology sector (-1.1%) continues to underperform, while the financials sector (-1.0%) now sits at session lows with a similar loss. 

Major banking names are modestly lower across the board, while American Express (AXP 350.35, -6.83, -1.91%) lags after reporting its October card metrics, which saw a 0.3% increase in consumer card member loan write-offs, while U.S. Small Business Card member loans net write-offs increased 0.1%. 

Meanwhile, Coinbase Global (COIN 262.17, -21.83, -7.69%) and Robinhood Markets (HOOD 115.57, -6.93, -5.66%) hold the widest losses.
