[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (+0.7%), Nasdaq Composite (+1.3%), and DJIA (+0.1%) have slipped from earlier highs as the market's largest names see some profit-taking, while losses widen in underperforming sectors.
Four S&P 500 sectors now trade in negative territory, with the financials sector (-0.3%) the most recent to move below its baseline.
FactSet (FDS 273.36, -22.77, -7.69%) is the worst-performing S&P 500 name after beating top-and-bottom-line estimates but guiding FY26 EPS and revenues just in line.
Elsewhere in the sector, insurance names continue to face pressure this week. William Blair downgraded both Progressive (PGR 222.98, -4.29, -1.89%) and Allstate (ALL 204.02, -5.06, -2.42%) to Market Perform from Outperform.
