[BRIEFING.COM] The Dow Jones Industrial Average (+0.1%) turned positive as the S&P 500 (-0.7%) and the Nasdaq Composite (-1.8%) moved off opening lows.
The relative improvement coincided with Apple (AAPL 219.48, +1.58, +0.7%) entering positive territory after trading down as much as 0.8%.
Market breadth is still decidedly negative despite the slight upside action. Decliners lead advancers by a 3-to-2 ratio at the NYSE and by a 3-to-1 margin at the Nasdaq.
