[BRIEFING.COM] The Dow Jones Industrial Average (+0.09%) is the only major average able to scrape together gains on Friday afternoon, albeit in a modest fashion.
A look inside the DJIA shows that McDonald's (MCD 321.25, +10.88, +3.51%), Verizon (VZ 45.74, +1.51, +3.41%), and IBM (IBM 257.13, +8.44, +3.39%) are some of today's top gain getters.
Meanwhile, Boeing (BA 151.92, -6.51, -4.11%) is lagging.
The DJIA is on pace to end the week -2.79% lower.
Elsewhere, at the top of the hour, Baker Hughes (BKR 42.75, +0.85, +2.03%) announced a weekly U.S. rotary rig count of 592, -1 w/w and -30 yr/yr.
