[BRIEFING.COM] The market-cap weighted S&P 500 dropped below its prior close, down 0.1%, while the Invesco S&P 500 Equal Weight ETF (RSP) trades 0.4% higher.
Semiconductor shares are still relatively weak after leading declines yesterday. NVIDIA (NVDA 100.31, -4.17, -4.0%) and Broadcom (AVGO 171.40, -3.21, -1.8%) are among the influential losers. The PHLX Semiconductor Index (SOX) trades 1.2% lower.
This price action has led the technology sector to trade 0.9% lower.
