[BRIEFING.COM] Yesterday, it appeared as if there was no place to hide in the stock market. The selling activity, while orderly, was far and wide for sectors, investment factors, and market cap size. Today, it has been just the opposite.

The buyers' strike seen yesterday has been broken today, and all boats have risen with the early tide. Notably, the Vanguard Mega-Cap Growth ETF (MGK) is up 2.0%, cutting its month-to-date loss to 6.1%.

Other big losers this month, like the Dow Jones Transportation Average (-10.0%), Philadelphia Semiconductor Index (-10.4%), and S&P 500 energy sector (-13.5%), are among the early winners, sporting gains of 0.7%, 1.9%, and 1.6%, respectively.
