Crude oil futures dip

[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 trades about 100 points higher after dipping from its session high.

Earlier, the weekly EIA Crude Oil Inventories showed a build of 244,000 barrels. WTI crude oil futures were already lower in front of the release, down 1.7% to $62.51/bbl. 

This price action has impacted the S&P 500 energy sector, which trades 0.3% lower. It's among the worst performing sectors along with consumer staples (-1.0%).
