[BRIEFING.COM] The stock market opened in rebound-mode after significant declines of late. The major indices all show gains ranging from 3.6% to 4.1%.
The rally is related to some optimism around U.S. trade policy after the Trump administration signaled a willingness to negotiate. Just about everything is coming along for the upside ride. All 11 S&P 500 sectors are higher by at least 1.8%. The heavily-weighted technology (+5.1%) and financial (+4.6%) sectors lead the pack.
Market participants are monitoring the activity in Treasuries, which have also exhibited volatility in recent sessions. The 10-yr yield is up eight basis points to 4.24% and the 2-yr yield is up 13 basis points to 3.86%.
