[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (-0.1%) is fighting to remain near its flat line after an early slip from highs.

While the market has reversed from an upbeat open, the downside has been limited with just four sectors trading lower. The communication services sector (-1.1%) is the weakest performer with top listings Meta Platforms (META 685.83, -9.94, -1.43%) and Alphabet (GOOG 170.05, -3.93, -2.26%) largely responsible for the underperformance. Meta Platforms is dipping from levels last seen in late February while Alphabet is revisiting its June low amid indications that the company will have to pay a EUR4.124 bln fine.

Treasuries have turned positive with the 10-yr yield now down slightly at 4.39%.
