[BRIEFING.COM] Oil markets have retreated after reports crossed that Iran launched a missile attack on the U.S. military's Al Udeid base in Qatar, which it described as "devastating and powerful," targeting what it called a key vulnerability in U.S. regional presence.

Qatar's defense ministry said its air defenses intercepted the missiles, and officials reported no casualties.

Qatar strongly condemned the Iranian attack and stated it reserves the right to respond. Meanwhile, President Trump is in the Situation Room with top defense officials, and reports indicate U.S. aircraft have taken off from a base in Saudi Arabia.
