Stock Market Update

[BRIEFING.COM] The major averages have risen to their best levels of the session as the market responds positively to President Trump's announcement of a trade deal with Vietnam. With the new deal, U.S. exports to Vietnam will not be subject to any tariffs while imports from Vietnam will be tariffed at 20%. Transshipping through Vietnam will be subject to a 40% tariff.

The S&P 500 (+0.3%) trades on its high, but only four sectors display early gains with technology (+1.1%) and materials (+0.9%) in the lead.

Treasuries continue trading near their lows with the 10-yr yield up four basis points at 4.29%.
