EU deal lifts stocks
Dow +349.54 at 44851.98, Nasdaq +58.73 at 20950.04, S&P +30.68 at 6340.30

[BRIEFING.COM] The major average ticks towards their best levels due in part to an improvement in the technology sector (+0.4%).

Stocks traded higher following initial reports from Financial Times that the EU and U.S. are nearing a deal that will cap tariffs at 15%.

The move has the S&P 500 (+0.5%) at a new all-time high, moving past the previous record of 6,336.08 set on Monday.

Yesterday's trend of smaller-stock performance has continued through today, with the Russell 2000 up 1.0% and the S&P MidCap 400 up 0.6%. 

Meg-cap stocks have improved their standing amid the EU headlines, with the Vanguard Mega Cap Growth ETF up 0.4%, after posting a 0.6% loss yesterday.
