[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (+0.2%) and Nasdaq Composite (+0.2%) track similar gains, while the DJIA (-0.4%) continues to underperform today.
Mega cap stocks are slightly outperforming the broader market, with the Vanguard Mega Cap Growth ETF up 0.4%, versus a 0.2% gain in the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite.
However, smaller cap stocks are giving back some of their gains after two consecutive days of strength. The S&P Mid Cap 400 is down 0.6%, and the Russell 2000 is down 0.8%.
Breadth figures reflect the selling interest today, as decliners outpace advancers by a nearly 5-to-8 ratio on the NYSE and a nearly 2-to-1 ratio on the Nasdaq.
