Industrials sector faces early pressure
Dow -25.59 at 44811.97, Nasdaq +38.17 at 21215.38, S&P +7.23 at 6397.00

[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (+0.1%) and Nasdaq Composite (+0.2%) maintain modest gains below their early record-high levels, while the DJIA (-0.1%) lags the group.

Sector strength is almost evenly split in the early going, with six sectors trading in positive territory.

The industrials sector (-0.7%) faces pressure for the second consecutive day.

Carrier Global (CARR 72.01, -8.17, -10.2%) is the worst performer within the S&P 500 so far, trading sharply lower after the company beat EPS expectations by $0.01, reported revenues in-line, and reaffirmed FY25 EPS and revenue guidance. 

UPS (UPS 92.12, -9.46, -9.31%) is not far ahead, also suffering from its earnings report after missing EPS expectations by $0.01 while beating revenue expectations.
