[BRIEFING.COM] The major averages hover beneath their opening highs, with the S&P 500 up 0.3%
Advancers now only slightly outpace decliners on both the NYSE and the Nasdaq.
Despite early gains from NVIDIA (NVDA 163.29, +3.29, +2.1%) which pushed the company past $4 trillion in market cap, the PHLX Semiconductor Index has dipped from opening highs, now unchanged for the day.
Treasuries are off their early lows, with the 10-note yield down three basis points at 4.38% ahead of the $39 billion auction at 13:00 ET.
