Dow sinks 640 points as IBM, Apple, Salesforce drag; Sherwin-Williams bucks trend

[BRIEFING.COM] The Dow Jones Industrial Average (-1.45%) is down 640 points on Friday afternoon, though steeper losses are seen elsewhere among the major averages.

A look inside the DJIA shows that IBM (IBM 245.92, -7.23, -2.86%), Apple (AAPL 202.13, -5.44, -2.62%), and Salesforce (CRM 250.93, -7.40, -2.86%) are underperforming.

Meanwhile, Sherwin-Williams (SHW 342.54, +11.66, +3.52%) is today's top gain getter.

The DJIA is poised to end the week -3.14% lower.

Elsewhere, at the top of the hour, Baker Hughes (BKR 43.70, -1.35, -3.00%) announced a weekly U.S. rotary rig count of 540, -2 w/w and -46 yr/yr.
