The energy sector (+0.3%) now emerges as the best-performing S&P 500 sector, benefiting from a $0.54 increase in oil to $63.29 per barrel, a change of 0.9%.
CNBC reports that DOJ official Edward Martin wrote an address to Fed Chair Powell calling on him to remove Fed Governor Lisa Cook in response to allegations of mortgage fraud.
