Furniture names lag after President Trump announces probe
Dow -232.71 at 45399.03, Nasdaq +64.87 at 21560.01, S&P -2.16 at 6464.75

[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 now trades on its flatline, while the Nasdaq Composite (+0.3%) outperforms and the DJIA (-0.5%) widens its early loss.

Furniture retailers are among the day's notable laggards, with Williams-Sonoma (WSM 199.27, -4.15, -2.04%), Wayfair (W 73.74, -4.10, -5.27%), and RH (RH 231.23, -12.48, -5.12%) all trading sharply lower.

The weakness follows President Trump's announcement that the U.S. will launch a major investigation into furniture imports, which are expected to face a yet-to-be-determined tariff once the review is completed in the next 50 days.
