[BRIEFING.COM] The major averages trade in a relatively tight range amid an uneventful Monday session.
Today's trade has seen some broad-based profit-taking after Friday's record-setting rally for the DJIA (with the S&P 500 falling just short). Despite the early losses, mega-cap and tech names are still advancing today after underperforming for the majority of last week.
Tesla (TSLA 344.81, +4.80, +1.41%) is an early standout, helping the consumer discretionary sector return to its flatline.
Elsewhere, NVIDIA (NVDA 181.59, +3.60, +2.02%) also trades higher ahead of its earnings report on Wednesday.
