The utilities sector (+1.0%) now rivals the information technology sector (+1.0%) as the top-performing S&P 500 sector. The sector is benefitting from leadership in its largest component, NextEra Energy (NEE 72.30, +1.76, +2.50%), pushing past its 200-day moving average (72.06).
Reported earlier, Wholesale Inventories for June increased 0.1% (Briefing.com consensus 0.2%) from a prior decrease of 0.3%.
