Health care sector steadily improves
Dow -101.88 at 45781.36, Nasdaq -15.15 at 22333.60, S&P -8.56 at 6606.72

[BRIEFING.COM] The major averages are off their session lows as gains widen in the four advancing S&P 500 sectors. 

The health care sector (+0.4%) has steadily improved from an early loss, benefitting from a handful of corporate developments. 

Moderna (MRNA 25.25, +1.37, +5.74%) is the sector's top mover, trading higher after announcing positive preliminary immunogenicity data for its updated COVID-19 vaccine against the LP.8.1 variant. 

Eli Lilly (LLY 764.57, +16.38, +2.19%) also advances after announcing plans to build a $5 billion manufacturing facility in Goochland County, Virginia, near the city of Richmond. 

In Washington, The House is set to put forth a stopgag bill that would fund the government through November 21, with a vote expected Friday according to CNBC.
