[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (+0.1%), Nasdaq Composite (+0.3%), and DJIA (flat) continue to see their opening gains eroded as only three S&P 500 sectors remain in positive territory.
The communication services sector (+0.1%) still holds on to a slight gain for the day, with Paramount Skydance (PSKY 18.16, +0.28, +1.59%) and Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD 18.92, +0.22, +1.15%) advancing the furthest.
CNBC reports that sources say Paramount's offer for WBD could take a little bit longer, with the deal likely to be in the $22-24 per share range.
