Technology sector moves into positive territory
Dow -65.75 at 46055.32, Nasdaq -52.80 at 22445.06, S&P -21.10 at 6616.86

[BRIEFING.COM] The major averages continue to approach their flatlines as the information technology sector (+0.2%) now joins the energy sector (+0.5%) in positive territory. 

NVIDIA (NVDA 179.83, +2.86, +1.62%) and Palantir Technologies (PLTR 184.00, +4.44, +2.48%) have both reversed their early weakness, while Intel (INTC 33.42, +2.20, +7.06%) builds on yesterday's momentum after reports suggested a possible investment from Apple (AAPL 253.21, +0.90, +0.36%).

Meanwhile, the consumer discretionary sector (-0.9%) has yet to shake off its mega-cap weakness, with Tesla (TSLA 429.08, -13.71, -3.10%) trading lower today.

The FTC confirms that Amazon (AMZN 220.24, +0.03, +0.01%) will have to pay $1 billion in civil penalties and $1.5 billion in refunds back to customers after settling allegations that Amazon enrolled millions of consumers in Prime subscriptions without their consent and knowingly made it difficult for consumers to cancel.
