Stock Market Update

[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (+0.1%) remains below its early high as relative weakness in technology (-0.3%) and communication services (-0.2%) limits the market's advance.

Losses in both sectors are owed to some of its top components. Meta Platforms (META 738.42, -10.49, -1.40%) is one of just four decliners in the communication services sector while roughly half of the components of the tech sector trade higher. However, losses in top-weighted NVIDIA (NVDA 175.88, -1.82, -1.02%), Apple (AAPL 255.12, -1.75, -0.68%), Broadcom (AVGO 332.79, -3.31, -0.98%), and Oracle (ORCL 283.36, -7.98, -2.74%) are keeping the sector in the red.

Treasuries have bounced between their highs and lows, but the movement has taken place inside a narrow range. The 10-yr yield is up one basis point at 4.18%.
