[BRIEFING.COM] Stocks are charting new session lows as the market enters the final hour of the session.
Notably, the S&P 500 (-2.0%) has slipped below its 50-day moving average (6,831.07). The Nasdaq Composite (-2.3%) breached that key technical level earlier in the session, and both indexes now sit in negative territory for the year.
All eleven S&P 500 sectors now hold losses today amid dismal breadth figures. Decliners outpace advancers by a roughly 4-to-1 margin on the NYSE and a roughly 8-to-3 clip on the Nasdaq.
