[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (+0.7%), Nasdaq Composite (+0.6%), and DJIA (+0.5%) remain little changed from previous levels as the market enters the final hour of the session.
Crude oil futures settled today's session $0.11 higher (+0.1%) at $89.44 per barrel, steadily recovering from a sharp overnight retreat that briefly pushed prices below $87 per barrel. The rebound in oil prices had little effect on stocks, which remain firmly higher, and on Treasury yields, which remain several basis points lower for the day.
Still, Bloomberg recently reported that Iran is increasing attacks on ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz as oil shipments through the waterway get close to pre-war levels.
