[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (+0.6%), Nasdaq Composite (+0.7%), and DJIA (+0.3%) hold decent gains as the market enters the final hour of the session.
The S&P 500 currently sits a touch above its 50-day moving average of 6894.93.
Stocks have faced some choppy action today in response to the Supreme Court's ruling against President Trump's IEEPA tariffs. However, he stated his intention to sign an order today to impose a global tariff of 10%, under Section 122, which allows President Trump to impose up to a 15% global tariff for 150 days.
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said that Treasury estimates show that the use of Section 122 authority, combined with potentially enhanced Section 232 and Section 301 tariffs, will result in virtually unchanged tariff revenue in 2026.
