S&P 500 Climbs as Robinhood, Palantir Rally; Waters Sinks on Guidance
Dow +62.11 at 50176.57, Nasdaq +259.80 at 23291.04, S&P +46.66 at 6978.95

[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (+0.67%) is in second place on Monday afternoon, up about 47 points.

Briefly, S&P 500 constituents Qnity Electronics (Q 104.80, +6.58, +6.70%), Palantir Technologies (PLTR 144.75, +8.85, +6.51%), and Robinhood Markets (HOOD 88.00, +5.18, +6.25%) dot the top of the average. HOOD is higher ahead of earnings tomorrow and a Wolfe Research upgrade to Outperform, citing a more attractive risk/reward following a 27% year-to-date pullback.

Meanwhile, Waters (WAT 333.75, -47.54, -12.47%) is firmly lower after the Q1 EPS guidance miss raised concerns about near-term margin pressure and integration costs from the BD Biosciences deal. The selloff also reflects investor caution around modest early-2026 EPS growth and heavy reliance on acquisition-driven revenue, despite solid Q4 results and largely in-line full-year guidance.
