[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (+0.9%), Nasdaq Composite (+1.1%), and DJIA (+1.2%) continue to chart session lows shortly after midday, though there is still a decnt cushion between the major averages and their flatlines.
The Speaker of Iran's Parliament has refuted claims made by President Trump that the U.S. and Iran engaged in discussions to end hostilities, claiming that President Trump's comments were "used to manipulate the financial and oil markets and escape the quagmire in which the U.S. and Israel are trapped."
Crude oil remains firmly lower for the day, but ahs crept back up above the $90 per barrel mark.
