The energy sector (+1.3%) remains the only S&P 500 sector with a gain wider than 0.3% as crude oil rises to nearly $106 per barrel.
Additionally, Phillips 66 (PSX 174.52, +9.39, +5.69%) outperforms after beating EPS expectations by $1.03 but missing revenue estimates.
Expand Energy (EXE 100.66, +3.70, +3.82%) also trades higher after topping earnings estimates.
