[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (-0.7%), Nasdaq Composite (-1.1%), and DJIA (-0.5%) have at least temporarily stabilized from their opening slide.
CNBC reports that a senior Pakistani official who is close to the negotiations between the U.S. and Iran has said that "there is no hope anything will be confirmed today."
Crude oil has passed the $116 per barrel mark, currently trading $4.11 (+3.7%) higher at $116.53 per barrel.
