Participation has broadened from earlier levels, with six S&P 500 sectors now trading at or above their baselines. However, losses are widening in the top-weighted information technology sector (-1.8%).
Semiconductor names such as Coherent (COHR 343.01, -19.82, -5.46%) and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD 396.31, -24.68, -5.86%) are among the worst performers, sending the PHLX Semiconductor Index 2.8% lower.
Additionally, Treasuries are under pressure again this morning. The 2-year note yield is up five basis points to 4.13%, and the 10-year note yield is up six basis points to 4.68%.
