[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (-0.5%), Nasdaq Composite (-1.2%), and DJIA (-0.3%) remain lower across the board as the market enters the final hour of today's session.
Weakness remains broad, with only the energy sector (+1.0%) trading higher as renewed geopolitical volatilities between the U.S. and Iran send oil prices higher.
Bloomberg reports that the U.S. fought off a wave of drone strikes in the Strait of Hormuz, sinking seven Iranian boats in response.
Crude oil futures settled today's session $4.44 higher (+4.4%) at $106.28 per barrel.
