IBM (IBM 264.80, +12.58, +4.99%)is the top-performing Dow component after JPMorgan upgraded the stock to Overweight from Neutral with a target of $291.
Elsewhere in the information technology sector (-2.7%), software names are trending mostly higher, with the iShares GS Software ETF up 1%, though the gains do little to offset semiconductor losses.
