The consumer staples sector (-0.9%) is one of today's worst-performing S&P 500 sectors, dragged down by poor leadership from its largest component, Walmart (WMT 116.00, -3.01, -2.53%), and some profit-taking after a solid showing yesterday.
However, McCormick (MKC 49.58, +1.98, +4.17%) is a post-earnings standout after topping expectations and reaffirming its FY26 guidance.
