However, the communication services sector (-1.2%) is charting session lows, with Meta Platforms (META 581.97, -17.15, -2.86%) a "Magnificent Seven" laggard amid a weak showing for non-semiconductor mega-cap stocks.
Charter Comm (CHTR 149.70, -8.00, -5.07%) is also one of the worst-performing S&P 500 names, despite a dearth of corporate news.
