[BRIEFING.COM] The major averages continue to home in on a decent finish to a somewhat disappointing week.
Next week will feature some important inflation data in the form of the July Personal Income and Spending Report on Wednesday, which features the PCE Price Index (Briefing.com consensus 0.1%), the Fed's preferred inflation gauge.
Earnings will be light in the number of reports but will feature more retailer names, several high-profile software names, and, most importantly, NVIDIA (NVDA 214.98, -1.87, -0.86%) after the close on Wednesday.
