[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (+0.5%), Nasdaq Composite (+1.2%), and DJIA (+0.1%) remain higher as the market enters the final hour of the session.
Crude oil futures settled today's session $1.36 higher (+1.7%) at $83.61 per barrel, rising sharply this afternoon after The Wall Street Journal reported that the White House has no intention of returning to the terms of the June memorandum of understanding with Iran.
The energy sector is now flat for the day, while the information technology sector (+2.8%) remains the only S&P 500 sector in positive territory.
